The book titled A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled launched January 2016 is a tool for use when you feel you are in constant stress, overloading your nervous system and flooding it with cortisol and adrenaline. Your attention is constantly fixed on what to worry about and not your here and now. Being frazzled will easily lead to a burn-out, Ruby explains to the press.

“Notes from a Mad Woman.”
Ruby herself uses mindfulness when she feels “frazzled”. The book includes a six weeks mindfulness course as well as her personal stories, described as “Notes from a Mad Woman”. After all, this is Ruby Wax. The “Absolute fabulous” script writer and comedy queen still makes people laugh.
Ruby`s definition of mindfulness isn’t about “sitting erect on a hillock, legs in a knot, humming a mantra that’s probably the phone book sung backwards”. It is something that can help us all: learning to notice your thoughts and feelings so you can truly experience life. Between the covers of the book the readers will find what Ruby Wax describes as “Notes from a madwoman”; her personal stories.
“Remember to rest and refuel!”
Ruby has spent hours after hours in what she describes as a “Swampland of Frazzledom”. She wants her readers to take comfort in knowing that “we are in this together; you are not alone in these lands of confusion and self doubt and we need to find some kind of exit route“. The book gives, according to Ruby, recommendations for nice “holiday destinations” away from the “Land of Frazzledom”, tools for rest and refuel.
